Fall
in the High Country; It's where everyone wants to be and this fall
promises to be just as spectacular as any we've ever had. Concerns
about the drought have fortunately not hampered the beauty or the
duration of this fall's colors. At the start of this fall, it seemed
like true "fall" weather would never arrive. Not to fear though,
because crisp, clear, cool fall air is on the horizon!
October here in the High Country is a wonderful place to find just
about any type of fair or festival. Throughout the month one can find
Wooly Worms, Fall Festivals, Ghost Trains, Apple Festivals, Hay Rides,
and just about anything that would remotely hint of fall.
Close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Moses Cone Park
makes Crestwood the perfect place for food and relaxation after a long
drive looking at the leaves. For the most up-to-date information on
leaf colors, visit the Virtual Blue Ridge Parkway
for the latest fall color reports, current events, and other
comprehensive information relating to the Parkway. You'll find
everything you need to know to make your Blue Ridge Parkway experience
that much more enjoyable.
